Thought I’d add my own recent frustrations with Windows to this list.
I bought a 500 gb hd for 85 bucks at Bestbuy (awesome deal). But the partition editor in Vista corrupted all of my partitions, making them no longer bootable. Though, I was able to recover data in Ubuntu via a live cd, I was not able to successfully reinstall the grub loader. So I decided to start over, putting xp back on my cpu along with a copy of the new Ubuntu 8.04.
Everything went ok through the white and blue text-based install screens of the seemingingly archaic XP install. After 30 minutes or so, I was finally in, except my sp2 disks did not have the drivers/recognize my ethernet card, my pci ports, and a whole slew of other components in my computer. And as you might have assumed, no ethernet card or pci (my wireless card is pci) means there was no easy way to update Windows.
So now I’m back with Vista. The good news is the new Ubuntu runs like a dream. And I now have 500+ gb of storage.
It was foolish of me to think that I could install VMWare Fusion and it would work properly. I blame Windows, not VMWare.
*EDIT* Extra special thanks for corrupting my Windows installation, which means I’ll have to go back through the annoying installation and many “updates” that bug me to restart my computer every ten minutes. Now I do blame you, VMWare.

I just got a boy kitty! Now I need your help naming him. Email me at Berryjiveuptown5 at gmail dot com with suggestions.
By the way, the name “Beastpaint” has already been vetoed by Stacey.

Bureau of Land Management’s Plan to Kill Wild Horses
This is the same BLM that just put a three year moratorium on solar energy plants because they needed to research how they would interfere with the desert tortoises’ migration patterns. Get real, folks.
The BLM is the most corrupt government agency to have ever existed. Selling land to be clearcut and stripmined, killing horses, leasing some 80 million acres of land to be drilled for oil, and single-handedly stopping progress on solar plants because of migration patterns. Ridiculous!
