I really hope Apple releases a 12" Macbook

With all the hype surrounding the release of the new Macbooks/Pros in a couple of days, I’ve started thinking again of upgrading my laptop.  The one thing that I’m really hoping for is the re-release of the 12” notebook similar to the old Powerbook.

Why not?  With all of the sleek UMPCs these days, it would only make sense to release a smaller model.  I really hate bulky laptops and chargers.  And this may sound crazy, but Stacey’s 13” Macbook is just a little too big to fit in the sweet leather laptop bag she got me.

Is it crazy to buy a notebook to fit a laptop bag?

Betty White calls Palin a “crazy bitch” on Ferguson.

Race over. Obama wins.

Omg, so funny. Betty White is hilarious!

Michelle had better watch out for Betty!

Obama was member of Socialist "New Party" »

Which excuse will we get?

  1. “The Rev. Wright New Party I knew then isn’t the Rev. Wright New Party I know now.”
  2. William Ayers The New Party and I just happened to be in the same neighborhood.”
  3. “Some rogue staffers filled out that survey my application for membership.”
  4. “I was a member of Trinity The New Party, but I never heard America-hating Socialist ideas expressed when I was in attendance. They only did that on sundays I wasn’t there.”

Wasn’t it John McCain who said that running a campaign of endless personal attacks was the strategy of people who didn’t have anything else to offer the country?

SOCIALISM ISN’T “AMERICA HATING”

He can pack me up in his fanny pack and take me on the rest of the tour. The show was incredible. Lee got some really good pictures, but some even better video! I’ll put something together soon.

What an awesome show that was!

I’m mad. I’m really mad and what’s going to surprise you, it’s not about the economy. It’s about the socialists taking over our country.

…It’s time that you two are representing us and we are mad. So go get ‘em!

A man at McCain’s townhall in Wisconsin today. The crowd erupted into a USA! USA! USA! chant. They don’t care about the economy, just making sure Obama doesn’t get elected. Who and what are you going to vote for?
(via election08)

Are they aware that McCain supported the “socialist” bail out and that his new plan for home owners is equally “socialist”? That McCain is happy to court socialist policies and ideas as long as it appeals to the morons he panders to?

Someone needs to sit these people down and explain to them that the definition of the term socialism isn’t “liberal,” and can be applied to any policy or idea that puts control of the market in the hands of the government, not business. How can you know so little about the policies of the person you claim to be so excited about or the ideologies you rail against?

(via robot-heart)

Attention idiot hicks: you must actually understand what socialism is before getting angry at its policies.  To your surprise, socialism is NOT the same thing as ‘terrorism,’ so please stop making this mistake.

Also, you might want to consider researching some other things you are
“really mad” at.

Eustace Conway on This American Life »

Hey, I just found this episode of This American Life completely dedicated to Eustace Conway, a modern day Daniel Boone who lives in a teepee on his 10,000 acre preserve near Asheville, NC!

At 6-years-old, he could pin a squirrel to a tree from 30’.  When he was 17, he decided to hike the entire Appalachian Trail with a pocket knife as his only equipment, eating only what he could kill.  Several years back, he decided to ride a horse from coast to coast.

Man, I really need to finish his biography, Last American Man.
